Seasonal foods
As nutritionists, one of our core values is encouraging our clients to eat fresh, seasonal fruit and vegetables.
Why should you eat seasonally?
We believe fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables have higher levels of vitamin and minerals and of course they just taste better!!
From a nutritional prospective when you eat with the seasons rather than eating the same 10 things all year round, the variety means you end up with a greater range of nutrients in your diet. But there are many more benefits for you, your family and the planet. Seasonal, locally grown foods are better for the environment, as they are not being shipped across the globe and you are supporting your local farmers.
We fully support the campaign Eat Seasonalby, and every month we will tell you what is currently in season and give you the nutrition low down.
